Wife of LIV Golf pro confirms divorce to “narcissist”

Pat Perez’s wife Ashley appeared to confirm on social media the couple are headed for a divorce.

Rumours surfaced in January there was a LIV player who recently went on a Las Vegas trip and when he returned his wife had left with their two children.

Per the No Laying Up podcast, it was said the only items left in the marital home were a pair of forks.

Whilst we don’t know if that was true, there was a divorce filing lodged at Maricopa County Superior Court on behalf of Pat and Ashley.

The couple have been married for nine years and have two children together. They tied the knot on New Years Eve in 2014.

In a series of Instagram posts, Ashley said she was leaving the 47-year-old golfer and labelled him a ‘narcissist’.

Ashley decided to repost a video from another user which read: “I’m 53 and waste almost half my life with a ‘narcissist'”.

“Hmm. Sounds familiar,” Ashley wrote over the video. In the next slide, Ashley posted a screenshot featuring pictures of news articles about the couples divorce.

She also set the song behind the Instagram story to NSYNC’s ‘Bye Bye Bye’.

Perez was a former PGA Tour player. He won three times on the North American circuit and played more than 500 events.

Overall, he won a total of $28,830,160 in prize money before he upped sticks and joined the lucrative, Saudi-backed LIV Golf League.

He is a member of Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces side. The team also has Harold Varner III and Patrick Reed on their roster.

Varner himself has legal troubles as he was recently arrested and charged with ‘driving while impaired’.

Perez was heavily criticised after he previously stated he had no desire to join LIV but he has now played two full seasons with the circuit.

Amid that criticism, Ashley posted video rants defending her husband. She suggested the LIV tour would be ‘iconic’.

Ashley also has publicly criticised Tiger Woods over his many misdemeanours behind the wheel and called on Rory McIlroy to be ‘punched in the face’ after his argument with the U.S. side at the 2023 Ryder Cup.
