Are Tiger Woods, Nike parting ways? Woods tight-lipped on rumors

There are speculations in the industry suggesting that Tiger Woods might be parting ways with Nike as he nears the end of a 10-year extension signed in 2013.

Rumors intensified after the NoLayingUp podcast mentioned that the recent PNC Championship could potentially be Woods’ final outing with the Nike brand.

Tiger Woods, when questioned about his relationship with Nike, offered little clarification on the rumors, stating, “I’m still wearing their product.”

Woods, a Nike athlete since 1996, has had a longstanding partnership with the company, with his last extension signed in 2013. While Woods continued to wear Nike apparel, he transitioned to TaylorMade golf clubs and Bridgestone golf balls after Nike exited the golf equipment business in 2016.

Recent sightings of Woods wearing FootJoy shoes instead of Nike have fueled speculation about the status of his Nike deal. Rumors also circulate about Nike potentially leaving the golf business entirely or licensing its golf brand to another company, although Nike has remained silent on the matter.

Notable golfers like Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Scottie Scheffler, Nelly Korda, and Tony Finau are currently part of Nike’s professional stable.
