Bryson DeChambeau was unable to attend the recent U.S. Ryder Cup team dinner in person due to significant weather-related travel delays. Despite the setback, DeChambeau participated in the event virtually and later engaged in a positive conversation with team captain Keegan Bradley. Bradley emphasized his commitment to assembling the best possible team, regardless of players’ affiliations with LIV Golf or the PGA Tour.
DeChambeau, currently ranked fifth in the U.S. Ryder Cup points standings and the reigning U.S. Open champion, expressed appreciation for the invitation and the opportunity to engage with the team, even if only remotely.
In contrast, fellow LIV Golf player Brooks Koepka, who has dropped to 91st in the standings due to recent performances, was also invited to the dinner. Bradley’s inclusive approach marks a shift from previous years, where LIV players faced challenges in Ryder Cup selection.
The 2025 Ryder Cup is scheduled for September 26–28 at Bethpage Black in New York. Bradley is focusing on assembling a team based on performance and unity, aiming to reclaim the Cup from Europe.
