How Tiger Woods underwent dramatic body transformation to keep up with Rory McIlroy and co. despite wretched injuries
After surgeries running into double-figures and a near-fatal car crash, Tiger Woods is lucky to be walking.
The 15-time major winner established himself as the best golfer in history despite playing through crippling back and knee problems throughout the prime of his sporting life.
He won the 2008 US Open with two stress fractures in his tibia and a battered ACL, then claimed the Masters title in 2019 with a fused back after doctors told him he would never play professional golf again.
It is quite frankly unimaginable what a pain-free Woods could have done, but the 47-year-old is not done with miracles just yet.
His latest seemingly-impossible obstacle to overcome is a surgically-reconstructed right leg, which was almost amputated as a result of his 2021 car accident.

Back in February, Woods made big-hitting star Rory McIlroy adjust his driver out of embarrassment.
McIlroy said: “I put my driver up a click in loft at the start of the week. I might have to turn it back down again. I don’t like him hitting it by me.”
Upon bursting onto the scene in 1997, Woods was among the first golfers to turn the sport into an athletic endeavour, spending more time in the gym than the clubhouse bar.
Woods was famously obsessed with Navy SEALS, taking an intrigue in his father Earl’s military background, and his workout routines are the stuff of legend
