Justin Thomas Wins RBC Heritage in Thrilling Playoff Finish, Celebrates with Wife and Son

Justin Thomas returned to the winner’s circle in style on Sunday, winning the 2025 RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links after a dramatic playoff victory over Andrew Novak. The win marks Thomas’s 16th PGA Tour title and his first since the 2022 PGA Championship — and this one felt especially sweet, with his wife Jillian and their young son waiting greenside to celebrate.

Thomas closed with a 66 to finish at 17-under-par, tying Novak in regulation. On the first playoff hole, Thomas delivered a clutch birdie while Novak settled for par — sealing a long-awaited win.

“It feels incredible,” Thomas said, visibly emotional after the final putt. “To have Jill and our son here for this moment… I’ll never forget this day.”

The presence of his family made the moment even more special for the 30-year-old star, who has spoken openly about how becoming a father has shifted his perspective both on and off the course.

“I’ve grown a lot the last couple of years — as a player, but more importantly, as a person and a dad,” Thomas shared. “Winning is great, but going home to that little guy, no matter what, has been the biggest joy of my life.”

Thomas also earned praise for his sportsmanship during the tournament, calling a penalty on himself in Saturday’s round after his ball slightly moved in a waste area — a move that cost him a stroke, but showcased his integrity.

Fellow stars Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth congratulated their friend on the emotional win. “Justin played some phenomenal golf out there,” Scheffler said. Spieth added, “I’m incredibly proud of Justin.”

With this comeback win and his family by his side, Justin Thomas heads into the rest of the season with momentum — and a reminder of what matters most beyond golf.
