PGA Tour rookie Ryan Fox became the first golfer to make a hole-in-one at the 2024 Players Championship at the iconic 17th hole.
Ryan Fox lights up the Players with ace (!) at famed 17th: “Do it, big man!”
We’ve seen a number of brilliant aces on the iconic 17th at TPC Sawgrass over the years.
One of our favourites over at GolfMagic was Fred Couples sending the crowd into a frenzy during the 1997 Players.
Other memorable highlights include Shane Lowry going absolutely berserk with his hole-in-one two years ago.
You will no doubt have your favourite over what has to be one of the coolest feats in professional golf.
This year New Zealand’s Ryan Fox became the first player to make a hole-in-one and the moment arrived during the first round.
Fox actually made history here as he became the first player ever to record back-to-back eagles at the Players.
His ace was similar to Lowry’s in that his towering iron shot landed over the pin and rolled back into the cup at speed.
Fox knew his shot was good immediately given the club twirl.
