McLaren driver Lando Norris has acknowledged that there may be “tough moments” ahead in his relationship with teammate Oscar Piastri as the competition for the Formula 1 world championship heats up.
With both drivers performing strongly and McLaren becoming increasingly competitive on the grid, Norris admitted that tensions could rise as the pressure mounts. While he emphasized the solid dynamic he currently shares with Piastri, Norris noted that the fight for the championship might test their partnership.
“As we get closer to competing for wins and titles, things will naturally become more intense,” Norris said. “Oscar is a great teammate, and we work well together, but when you’re both fighting for the same goals, it’s only normal to expect some tough situations.”
Despite the potential for on-track rivalry, Norris remains optimistic that mutual respect and professionalism will help them maintain a positive working relationship.
