After months of speculation, singer and actress Coco Jones has finally addressed the dating rumors linking her to NBA star Donovan Mitchell. In a candid conversation on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Jones responded to the swirling rumors with a playful acknowledgment, saying, “I love the internet because they definitely clocked my tea. Little spies everywhere.”
The rumors gained traction when the duo was spotted holding hands at an Usher concert in September 2024, and Jones was seen attending several Cleveland Cavaliers games, often seated near the bench. Further fueling the speculation, Jones was also seen interacting with Mitchell’s sister at Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July party.
While Jones didn’t explicitly confirm the relationship, her remarks suggest a close bond with Mitchell. She emphasized her desire to keep certain aspects of her life private, stating, “I don’t want to feel like I have to be somebody’s secret. I don’t want to make anybody feel like they’re mine. For me, I’m trying to protect myself, and I’m trying to protect my family and who I love, so I am more private.”
Jones also hinted that fans might find more insights into her personal life through her music. Her debut studio album, “Why Not More?”, is set to release on April 25, 2025, and she mentioned that her music serves as an outlet to tell her stories and truths.
While the exact nature of Jones and Mitchell’s relationship remains private, her recent comments have certainly added fuel to the ongoing speculation.
