Angel Ayora from Spain has turned down a lucrative offer to join LIV Golf League, as per Ten Golf. The media outlet reported that Ayora was offered to join Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks GC.

Kale Samooja, who played for Cleeks GC in the 2024 LIV Golf season, was relegated after finishing 49th in the season’s standings. As a result, a player position opened up, and Angel Ayora was offered a two-year deal to join Cleeks GC. Ten Golf reported that Ayora weighed the offer initially but rejected it eventually.

Angel Ayora, 20, was born on October 3, 2004. He recently graduated from the Challenge Tour to the DP World Tour. He finished fourth in the Road to Mallorca rankings. He competed in 24 events and made cuts in 21 of them. He had one win and seven top-10 finishes in the 2024 Challenge Tour.

The Spaniard’s lone win came at the 2024 Rosa Challenge Tour which he won by three shots over Dermot McElroy. He had runner-up finishes in the final two tournaments of the Challenge Tour, Hangzhou Open and Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final.

Ayora turned professional in 2023 after competing for the Eisenhower Trophy. He has also competed in a few DP World Tour and PGA Tour events. Ayora recently competed in the BMW Australian PGA Championship and ISPS Handa Australian Open. He tied for sixth and 21st in the 2024-25 DP World Tour tournaments respectively. He is currently ranked 238th in the OWGR rankings.
