Rickie Fowler’s performance at the 2024 Memorial Tournament ended in disappointment as he missed the cut with a score of 14 over par. His second round score of 82 marked the worst 18-hole score of his PGA Tour career, surpassing his previous worst of 81 at the 2015 US Open and the 2020 Memorial Tournament.

During the second round, Fowler struggled early with double bogeys and bogeys, but managed to make two birdies on the back nine. Despite this, he closed with two bogeys to finish with a 10-over 82 for the round and 14-over 158 for 36 holes.

Fowler has had a tough year so far, with 11 missed cuts in 14 events and no Top 10 finishes. His best result was a T18 at the RBC Heritage. He made the cut at the Masters and the PGA Championship but finished outside the Top 25 in both.

His current ranking of 108th in the FedEx Cup standings means he’s not currently qualified for the season-ending playoffs. Fowler’s struggles extend across all aspects of his game, with negative numbers in all Stroke Gained (SG) statistics except for ‘SG: Around the Green’, where he ranks 89th.
