While still appearing to wear her wedding ring, Erica Stoll did not have her $650K engagement ring on her finger when stepping out in Florida on Wednesday after filing for divorce
Rory McIlroy’s wife has already removed her luxury engagement ring after filing for divorce from Rory McIlroy, but was still seen wearing her wedding ring on Wednesday.
It’s the first time that Erica Stoll has been seen publicly since news of their sudden divorce was announced on Tuesday, one day after legally filing for separation. Stoll’s engagement ring was valued at $650,000 (£512,500) when McIlroy got down on one knee in 2015, but after getting married they will end their relationship as husband and wife after seven years.
Stoll was attending a Pilates class in Jupiter, Florida, on Wednesday, and refused to comment when being approached by a Daily Mail reporter. She still had a band on her finger which was assumed to be her wedding ring, respecting their agreement until the divorce is completed.

It’s been a tough week for McIlroy as he gears up to play in the PGA Championship on Thursday, with his communications team asking for reporters to be respectful in Louisville, Kentucky. Despite the announcement, McIlroy claimed he is “ready to play this week” in the second major of the year, one he triumphed at back in 2014.
It’s been a mixture of emotions for McIlroy, as he won at the Wells Fargo Championship last weekend before preparing for the PGA Championship under tough personal circumstances. According to court documents that were filmed in Palm Beach County, their marriage is now ‘irretrievably broken’.
