Tiger Woods reveals mishap (!) before rocking new look at US PGA

Tiger Woods has a new look at the US PGA

Tiger Woods admits his radical new GOATee at the US PGA this week came about solely because he got ‘lazy’ with the shaver.

He claimed he even cut himself in the process!

Woods, 48, is making just his third start in 2024 and his first since finishing dead last of those that made the halfway cut at The Masters.

The 15-time major champion did at least set a new consecutive cuts made record (24) in the first major of the season at Augusta last month.

PGA Tour star makes bold claim about Tiger Woods ahead of US PGA

Speaking to a pool of reporters ahead of the second major of the season at Valhalla this week, and Woods fielded a number of questions about his condition and his game.

Woods gave very similar answers to the questions we heard at The Masters in that he is ‘able to hit all the shots’ but is ‘struggling to get around 72 holes’.

Despite that, Woods still believes he can win another tournament on the PGA Tour.

The former World No.1 needs one more victory to set a new outright wins record on the circuit.

Woods currently shares the record of 82 wins with late great Sam Snead, and he lies three major wins behind record 18-time major champion Jack Nicklaus.

Woods has spoken about his new facial hair

Now repping new Sun Day Red apparel in 2024 following his split from long-time sponsor Nike at the end of last season, Woods is also rocking new facial hair, which has grabbed plenty of social media attention in the lead up to the US PGA.

The last time Woods turned up to a competitive round with a GOATee was back in 2010.

Barstool Sports reporter Dan Rapaport wanted to get to the bottom of his latest look.

Woods replied, while stifling a laugh:

“I’m definitely lazy. I cut myself this morning trying to trim it up so it is what it is.”

Woods tees off in the first round at 8.04am on Thursday alongside Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley.
