HUGE SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER UPDATE AHEAD OF US PGA!

Scottie Scheffler baby due date, updates: although there’s been no official update about the baby from Scheffler’s team, it’s understood the World No.1 ‘will be at Valhalla’.

Scottie Scheffler will reportedly participate in the US PGA at Valhalla next week, despite no official news being reported from his team that his wife Meredith has yet given birth to their first child.

Although Scheffler, 27, typically gives very little away about his personal life, especially not being on social media, he did admit during the week of his Masters victory last month that Meredith’s due date was ‘three weeks away’.

That meant Meredith’s due date was either last week or this week.

Golfweek confirmed the Schefflers were still waiting for the birth as of last Thursday.

The Dallas Morning News also reported this week that Scheffler remains on baby watch.

But earlier this afternoon, Sports Illustrated writer Bob Harig confirmed Scheffler intends to be teeing it up at the US PGA next week.

Harig also wrote #babyborn in his tweet.

There’s been nothing official from Scottie Scheffler, his team or the Tour… But word is he will be at Valhalla for the PGA next week after winning four of his last five tournaments, including the Masters. He is currently on the Tuesday interview schedule for 3:30 p.m. #babyborn

Scheffler withdrew from this week’s Wells Fargo Championship in order to be by Meredith’s side during this very special moment in their lives.

As it stands, there have been no official reports that Meredith has yet given birth as the golf world holds its breath about Scheffler’s appearance in the US PGA Championship.

Scheffler remains down on the list to speak with the media on Tuesday at 3.30pm local time (8.30pm UK).

Prior to Harig’s latest update today, there have been growing fears among a number of ardent Scheffler fans that he will be forced to skip the US PGA if he does need to remain on Baby Scheffler watch for another week.

The runaway FedEx Cup leader, who has won four of his last five starts on the PGA Tour, has made it clear he will withdraw from competition immediately should Meredith go into labour.

He also said last month that he intends to take ‘a bit of time off’ from the PGA Tour when the baby is born.

The good news for Scheffler fans is that he is not on social media and does hold a private life in comparison to other PGA Tour stars.

So perhaps an official announcement on Baby Scheffler will be made during next week’s US PGA, we’ll just have to wait and see.

All we can say here at GolfMagic is that we hope the birth has gone well / goes well and that everyone is happy and healthy.
