The lucrative LIV Golf League have finally announced the venue in Chicago that will stage their 2024 individual championship.
LIV Golf have finally confirmed the venue for their regular season finale halfway through their third season.
The breakaway tour confirmed on 30 April that their individual championship, played over 13-15 September, will be held at Bolingbrook Golf Club in Chicago, Illinois.
It represents an end to the league’s two year association with Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove.
LIV Golf Chicago will determine the seeds for the 2024 team championship.
That location and dates for the team championship are yet to be announced.
LIV are set to play their seventh event of 2024 this week at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore.
Just before we approach the halfway stage of the season, Chile’s Joaquin Niemann leads the individual points race from their marquee signing Jon Rahm.
Rahm is yet to win with LIV after making the switch to the lucrative league last December.
LIV commissioner Greg Norman was understandably bullish the league have finally managed to pick a venue in Chicago.
In a release, Norman said: “The passionate sports fans of Chicago have embraced the intense competition and fan-first experience that LIV Golf delivers.
“And this year it will be an incredible setting for a high-stakes event as players battle it out for the individual title and a roster spot for 2025.”
He added: “We’re thrilled to return to Illinois with an event at Bolingbrook Golf Club as we celebrate the season-long race and set the stage for the 2024 finale.”
