The PGA Tour’s Florida swing continues with the 50th edition of the Players Championship.

Known for the iconic 17th island green, TPC Sawgrass will host the event over 14-17 March.

The tournament is widely regarded as the unofficial fifth major championship.

Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion here and he arrives in good form having won the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The American scooped a top prize of $3,600,000 when he was crowned the winner 12 months ago.

The 2024 Players Championship has received a boost to the prize purse. This year the total purse is an eye-watering $25,000,000.

That means the winner will walk away with the top prize of $4,500,000.
