Dynamic Duo at McLaren: McLaren enters the 2024 season with a formidable driver line-up, featuring Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, a promising talent who shone in his first F1 season with notable achievements.

Unwavering Commitment to Norris: Acknowledging Lando Norris’ pivotal role in the team’s performance, Zak Brown has made it clear that no financial offer could tempt McLaren to part with Norris.

McLaren’s Solid Financial Grounding: Brown confidently expressed McLaren’s financial robustness, ensuring that monetary constraints will not hinder the team from retaining their star drivers and achieving their ambitions.

Amidst rumours of Red Bull’s interest in acquiring Lando Norris, McLaren CEO Zak Brown firmly closed the door on any such possibility, emphasising Norris’ immense value to McLaren.

Norris made his Formula One debut with McLaren in 2019 and has remained loyal to the Woking-based squad since, despite not being able to take his first victory. However, many are optimistic of the team’s performance heading into 2024 after a strong second half of the 2023 season.

The interest from Red Bull in Norris isn’t surprising, given his stellar performances and potential. Yet, Brown’s response to these speculations was forthright and clear. In an interview with Sky Sports, Brown commented:

“I don’t know enough about soccer to know what the economics are!

“He’s quite a valuable racing driver, a great asset to the racing team.

“There is no number that we would be interested in trading him for.”

Brown also addressed McLaren’s financial capabilities, reassuring that the team is well-equipped to offer Norris and other drivers competitive financial terms.

“The resources we have now are exactly where we need to be.

“Resources will not hold us back from achieving anything we need to achieve, drivers included.
